I wonder if it is possible that the leaders of PAS who speak for their camapign for the enforcement of Huddad are UMNO sleepers that aim to swing the votes at this K Trengganu election towards a victory for UMNO. This is the most likely scenerio because this bye-election for this KT seat is the tipping point for the survival or death of UMNO; if the opposition wins, their momentum going into the next general election will be unstoppable, but on the other hand if opposition looses this bye-election then with the dire differences that is building up a head of steam, UMNO will again swing support towards support for them.
The position is a difficult one for Dato Seri Anwar at this stage to speak up against PAS and risk loosing this crucial election. However, it is obvious that PAS cannot remain within the opposition because the support for the opposition had been on a UNITY PLATFORM and that means RELIGION POLITICS is out. From my perspective I believe the power and strength of the opposition needs to arise from a Chinese realisation that their power lies in their strength as SWING VOTERS and for the next parliament the Chinese must support the opposition. PAS is in every way "UMNO" within the Pakatan Rakyat coalition and therefore is a malign cancer and need to be removed. PAS does not speak the language of NATIONAL UNITY and much like UMNO, PAS too rely on the emotional racial & religious factor for their support. If PAS remains in the Pakatan Rakyat then no change that is sought by the opposition and the supporters of March 8 is possible; we will return to the status quo. However for the sake of this most crucial bye-election I say to DAP and those who want a change of government and to realise an opposition led government in the next general election to NOT PUSH DATO SERI ANWAR TOO HARD, let this bye-election go positive for PAS the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
